When extended the cable is 2.4M long, all 4 of the RJ11 cable connections are joined. The adapter to the BT 431A socket only has the line connected ( the outside 2 pins ).
this cable is suitable for almost all dial up modems. should work on ADSL modems but needs to be fully extended and will work with many telephones.
The UK telephones it is compatible with have only the outside pins connected on the BT 431A to the middle pins on the RJ11 plug in the original lead.
